Notre famille compte un garçon, une fille et un ange.

“At our 12-week ultrasound, we were delighted and stunned and terrified that we were expecting twins. At 25 weeks my water broke. I delivered Bryant Russell Griffin at 9:50 am. He weighed a mere 1 lb. 3 oz. At 11:40 am, Colton Andrew Griffin was born weighing 1 lb. 7oz. Our sons were intubated immediately and required oxygen support. After a 4-day stay, I was released from the hospital but not before holding Colton for the first time.”

“After fighting for 10 days, Bryant let us know his struggle was too much and as we held him in our arms he became our angel. We learned a lot about prematurity and about ourselves. We learned to appreciate the health care system we have and the amazing care provided by each and every member of the team that cared for our babies. We knew it was going to be a tough fight for Colton. He overcame tremendous obstacles, particularly with his lungs.”

“After 2 years as a family with a boy and an angel, we decided to give Colton another sibling. I delivered a girl, Sloan Augusta Griffin, at 39 weeks and 2 days, weighing 5 lbs. 15 oz. Colton remains in excellent health with no long-term effects from entering this world 15 weeks early. Sloan and Colton speak comfortably about their brother up in the stars, our angel, and we are grateful for our family with a boy, a girl, and an angel.”
